Well, HERE’s a little gem! The Pentel Stylo is a cool little fountain pen with a plastic tip. It has a hard and sturdy tip that can change the line width slightly (if you want) by either pressing harder or angling it, because the tip is a bit chisel-shaped (yes, we’re talking chisel, not star-shaped). However, you won’t get nearly as much variation as when you use a regular cut tip or brush pens. I love pens like this – because they are hard, I find it much easier to do flourishes and embroider the letters a bit because I don’t have to be overly light on my hand, which is often required with “regular” brush pens. Pentel Stylo has water-based ink.
I use Pentel Stylo for both everyday things like lists, for my analog planning and for lettering. A real little gem and a nice fusion of cut tip, fountain pen and lettering tool. Recommend 10/10!
Pentel Stylo is somewhat unconcerned about paper, but definitely a perfect partner to SOT notebooks, blank cards and of course smooth pads. You can also make nice watercolor backgrounds with, for example, Karin Brushmarkers PRO on which Stylon can shine with beautiful text. Just a thought.
