HI THERE!

I’m a lettering artist and author living in Sweden with a tendency to praise the existence of wine, pets and the color blue. A couple of years ago I took a leap of faith and started my own lettering business despite only having drawn letters for a year or so, and I haven’t looked back since.

That means that I know what it’s like to be an adult beginner – I was 41 before I held my first brush pen – and I still have this immense fascination with ink bleeding into paper fibers, I still get all giddy when trying out new pens and I am in constant awe at what a human hand actually can produce. I know frustration that makes one throw the pens in the bin, only to pick them up a few hours later. I know the satisfaction when it finally turns out okay after hours of trying, over and over. I know the love of hand made letters and what they can bring to a brand’s communication.

All of this, I try to impose (okay, force)  on others to the best of my abilities. I post a lot of stuff on instagram, I have a new blog where I’m sharing my tips and tricks, and I teach workshops both irl and online. In here I sell a bunch of stuff with my letters on, but also my favorite tools, pens and paper, and practice sheets to those of you who share my love for drawing letters by hand.

Welcome!

LETTERS FOR LIFE

  • Launching new pens while hugging my husband and thinking about business strategy...

  • Listen, I’m sorry about being all sell’y at the moment (is that even a word, sell’y? No? But do you understand that I meant that I try to sell a lot? Yes? Ok, good), but I have so many new, fun products in the pipes......

  • My husband has this small print shop that comes in incredibly handy to a woman who's selling cards, pad, posters and so on in her shop. Yes, I'm talking about yours truly. I married well, I must say, but on the other hand, so did he....

HIRE ME

I have a background in marketing, so I got a fairly good idea about what it’s like to be the client who just wants to get the job done already. That means that being thorough, responsive, easy to communicate with and keeping deadlines are fundamental things for me.

I’ve drawn book covers, package design, logos, posters, coasters, type faces, wedding invitations and much more, and my mind is currently set on creating great online classes and perhaps the occasional mural? I have no interest in landing the biggest accounts, but I do however love working with kind, smart and funny clients and creating cool stuff within the magic world of letters that still intrigues me so.

So if you’re kind, smart and funny and in need of a hand made graphic design element, a totally unique typeface, a mural in your office, a complete graphic profile or a workshop for your design team, let me know. I’d be thrilled to help you out!

THE INK & LISE WAY

HAND MADE

I believe in the hand to paper connection. All Ink & Lise designs start with a pen, or a brush, on paper. All real, all analogue, all made by hand. Therefore, all letters have a totally unique expression. Many of the designs are also made with pens that I have for sale in the shop, in case you would like to draw your own letters yourself.

Fueled by the love for letters

When I quit my job to start this company a few years ago, I did it with no second thoughts what so ever. I just went full on into this universe of letters and haven’t looked back since. Drawing letterforms by hand and thereby creating new ways to express messages is hands down the most thrilling and fun thing I’ve ever done in my whole life, and I’m only telling you this because it means that you can be sure that you have my ful attention and passion when you hire me. Every time.

LIMITED EDITION

We are all special, and that’s our very own secret super hero power! Therefore every Ink & Lise print is sold in small volumes, signed and numbered. When they’re sold out, they’re sold out. New motifs will come, of course, but only in small batches. So if you spot a poster you’d like, don’t wait too long. And if you get your hands on one, know for sure that it only hangs in a few other homes across the world.

CUSTOM

Are you getting married, looking for a special gift or want a tattoo designed? I create the tailor made letters you need for almost every occasion. Letters that are hand made according to your request and therefore are totally unique, whether on a sign, invitations, a piece of clothing – or on your arm. I also work with companies all over the world to help enhance and pinpoint their brand in different kinds of communication.
